Day 11 - Haugesund

I'm told we had a bit of a rough night but I didn't really notice. Sleeping very well on this trip. Woke up in Haugesund.

Too lazy to get off today so just did my normal thing of pottering around.  Leaving port around 4pm and the captain has announced 7m waves between 7pm and midnight so could be in for a bit of a rough night. 😱

What happened to the tree? 😂😂😂😂😂

And boy did it get rough, the captain announced a Michael Fish moment and the expected 70 knot winds were now 100 knots. I settled in at the Crows Nest but eventually due to the amount of damage, smashed glasses and till and the number of staff who were sick they closed around 10pm. So a few of us just hung around taking pictures of the waves crashing against the windows. Top deck, forward.


Sat up there until I managed to get the waves crashing on video then headed down to bed around midnight.

My room seemed to have survived pretty well, had to store a  couple of things such as glasses and my flask to stop them rattling and rolling about but eventually managed to get a good night's sleep.
